Yes, I was a pilot earlier in life too and it seemed from the video clip I saw that they were both at the same altitude, one behind the other but the following small fighter plane was off the the left of the larger bomber plane and just rammed right into it.
Two possibilities – 1. fighter pilot had a health issue and either didn’t see the larger plane, or was incapacitated and unable to make a correction at the fast speed he was doing or sadly like you suggest it may have been suicide, but why do that and kill others when all he had to do was dive into the ground all by himself?
